Most golf tech articles tell you which launch monitor is “best.” Almost none of them tell you that the $699 device actually costs about $900 in year one once the subscription kicks in. Or that it needs more room depth than your garage has. Or that the $199 alternative is genuinely enough if all you want is distance gapping.
That's the gap this site exists to fill.
What we do
We're not a testing lab, and we won't pretend to be one. What we do instead:
- True cost analysis.
- Every recommendation shows the day-one price and the real year-one cost with subscriptions, required accessories, and software tiers.
- Space-first advice.
- Before anything else: will it physically work in your garage, net setup, or local range? We map room-depth requirements for every device we cover.
- Aggregated real-world feedback.
- We read hundreds of owner threads on Reddit, GolfWRX and owner forums, and surface the complaints and praise patterns that individual reviews miss — connection bugs, environment sensitivity, what stops working after the free trial.
- “Good enough” honesty.
- Sometimes the cheaper device is the right call. We'll tell you when — and who should not buy each product.
