How to Connect Your Launch Monitor to GSPro (Garmin R10 and Rapsodo MLM2Pro)

How I built this: based on official GSPro, Garmin, and Rapsodo setup documentation — I haven't run this connection myself yet, so treat this as a accurate map of the process rather than a substitute for the official knowledge base if something goes wrong mid-setup.

The steps are well documented if you know where to look, but scattered across three or four different sites. Here's the whole path for both devices I've covered, plus the two gotchas that cause most of the “it was working yesterday” complaints.

Before you start: what you need

• A Windows PC — GSPro does not run natively on Mac
• Bluetooth on that PC, or a USB Bluetooth adapter if it doesn't have one built in
• A GSPro license, purchased at gsprogolf.com and tied to your specific launch monitor model — licenses aren't interchangeable between devices without a conversion step
• For the MLM2Pro specifically: an active Rapsodo Premium subscription. GSPro play simply will not work without it, even though the MLM2Pro itself functions without Premium for basic practice data

Connecting the Garmin R10

1. Install GSPro using the license key emailed to you, and make sure it's fully updated
2. On your PC, open Bluetooth settings and put the R10 into pairing mode by holding its physical button
3. Pair the R10 to your PC like any Bluetooth device
4. Launch GSPro — the GSPro Connect window will open automatically and show a “Garmin R10” option
5. Click it, and GSPro Connect will find and pair with your R10 on its own

That's it — no phone app step required for the R10 once it's paired. If you're switching to the R10 from a different launch monitor, you'll need to convert your existing GSPro license to the R10 first at GSPro's license conversion page.

Connecting the Rapsodo MLM2Pro

1. Buy or convert your GSPro license to the MLM2Pro (existing GSPro users switching devices use the license conversion tool; new users buy a license set to MLM2Pro directly)
2. Confirm your Rapsodo Premium membership is active — start the 45-day trial first if you haven't already
3. Update the MLM2Pro firmware and the Rapsodo app to the latest versions
4. In the Rapsodo app: tap Play → 3rd Party Apps → GSPro → Authenticate Now
5. Launch GSPro. GSPro Connect opens automatically and searches for your MLM2Pro over Bluetooth on the same Wi-Fi network
6. Once found, you're ready to hit shots

The gotcha almost every MLM2Pro owner hits

The MLM2Pro needs to be re-authenticated with GSPro every 24 hours, through the Rapsodo app, before you open GSPro. Miss this step and a connection that worked perfectly yesterday just won't pair today — it looks like a bug, but it's a deliberate re-authentication requirement. It takes about 30 seconds once you know it's there. I mention this because I couldn't find it explained clearly anywhere until I dug into Rapsodo's own troubleshooting docs — it's exactly the kind of detail that makes launch monitor ownership more expensive in time, if not in dollars.

If the connection won't hold

• Remove and re-pair the Bluetooth device from Windows Settings entirely, rather than just reconnecting — the MLM2Pro can show up under two different names (“MLM2” and “BlueZ”), and stale entries under either can block a clean pairing
• Confirm both devices are on the same Wi-Fi network, not just that Bluetooth is on
• Restart both the launch monitor and GSPro if a fresh pairing still won't connect

My take

None of this is difficult once you've done it once, but the first setup is where I'd expect most of the frustration to happen — particularly the MLM2Pro's Premium requirement and 24-hour re-auth, since neither is obvious from the box.
